The role is central to maintaining high academic standards and delivering effective English language programmes. A key responsibility of the role is overseeing organisational and operational matters, including managing one or more Centres as required. The Coordinator works closely with school administrators to develop timetables, allocate classrooms, coordinate external programmes, and ensure accurate attendance records, schedules, and examination timetables. The Coordinator is also responsible for staffing and programme implementation, including assigning teachers and multimedia lab administrators, applying curriculum updates from headquarters, and submitting accurate weekly, periodic, and ad hoc reports to both the school and Just English headquarters. Academic leadership is a core component of the role and includes conducting teacher training and professional development, supervising placement testing and student placement, monitoring teaching quality through observations and feedback, and supporting teachers with classroom management, assessment, and academic record keeping. Teaching classes may also be required. Administrative duties include maintaining inventories of academic materials, ensuring timely submission of reports and financial documentation, safeguarding examination materials and student records, and overseeing the safety and upkeep of Centre facilities and equipment. Candidates should ideally hold a Master’s degree in Applied Linguistics, Education, English, TEFL/TESL, or a related discipline, although a Bachelor’s degree with relevant experience will be considered. Applicants must have at least four years of ESL/EFL teaching experience and a minimum of three years in a management or programme coordination role, with familiarity in CEFR, Cambridge, TOEFL, and IELTS.
