| Write or Paste Ad | Meritton British International School in Chiang Mai is currently seeking a School Librarian to join the school community starting in August 2026. The successful candidate will help manage and develop the school library while creating a welcoming and engaging environment where students are encouraged to read, learn, and explore new ideas independently. Responsibilities for the role include organizing library resources, creating attractive reading spaces and displays, supporting literacy programs, and helping students build strong research and independent learning skills. The librarian will also work closely with teachers by providing curriculum-related resources, leading enjoyable reading activities and library sessions, and assisting with various school events, enrichment activities, and after-school programs. The school is looking for a friendly, organized, and proactive individual who is passionate about books, children’s education, and creating meaningful learning experiences within an international school environment. Applicants should be creative, confident, comfortable using technology and digital tools, and able to work collaboratively as part of a positive and supportive team. Candidates are expected to have previous library experience, preferably involving work with schools and children, along with good knowledge of children’s literature and educational resources that support classroom learning. Excellent English communication skills, ideally at native-level fluency, are also preferred.
