The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining continuity of learning during teacher absences. In this position, you will be responsible for delivering lessons that have already been planned, ensuring that students remain engaged and on track with their learning objectives. Flexibility is important, as you will be working across different age groups and classrooms. You will also be expected to foster a safe, welcoming, and positive classroom atmosphere where students feel supported and encouraged to participate actively in lessons. Strong behaviour management skills are essential, as maintaining order and focus in the classroom will be a key part of your daily responsibilities. You should feel confident adapting your approach to meet the varying needs of students. Collaboration is another important aspect of the role. You will work closely with other teachers and school leadership to ensure consistency in teaching standards and student experience. Applicants should be native English speakers and hold at least a bachelor’s degree, ideally in education. Previous experience working with children is required, along with the ability to manage a classroom effectively. The school would particularly value candidates who hold teaching qualifications such as PGCE, QTS, or equivalent, as well as those familiar with the British curriculum or approaches like phonics and play-based learning.
