The position is located in Koh Samui, Thailand, and offers a monthly salary of 50,000 Baht for full-time work. The successful candidate will need strong subject knowledge in Mathematics and the ability to deliver engaging, challenging, and well-structured lessons that align with Cambridge International AS & A Level curriculum and assessment requirements. The primary responsibility is teaching Cambridge International AS & A Level Mathematics to students in Years 12 and 13. The teacher will plan and deliver high-quality lessons that align with the relevant Cambridge syllabus and assessment objectives. They must also prepare students effectively for Cambridge AS & A Level examinations. The role involves developing students' mathematical reasoning, problem-solving, and examination skills. Teachers are expected to use past papers, mark schemes, examiner reports, and assessment data effectively to support student progress. This data-driven approach helps ensure students are well-prepared for their assessments. Beyond classroom teaching, the position includes contributing positively to the development of the Secondary School and the wider school community. The teacher will also undertake Homeroom Teacher duties, which involve supporting students' academic progress, wellbeing, attendance, and pastoral development. Applicants must hold a bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a closely related field. A recognised teaching qualification is preferred. Strong subject knowledge in AS & A Level Mathematics is essential for this role. Candidates should have a strong understanding of the Cambridge International / CIE curriculum, assessment, and examination requirements. Previous experience teaching Cambridge International AS & A Level Mathematics is highly desirable. Experience preparing students for external examinations would be an advantage. The ability to differentiate effectively for students with different levels of mathematical ability and English proficiency is important. Candidates should be professional, reliable, collaborative, and committed to high educational standards. A willingness to contribute to the wider life of the school and fulfil Homeroom responsibilities is also required.
